What does G2G coaching actually look like?
You get a personalised strength and conditioning program written by your coach. It’s your plan to follow at your own pace. And there’s always a coach on the gym floor every session. They can help check your form, answer any questions you’ve got, and step in when you need them.
It’s not a class or a PT session. Nobody is counting your reps or shouting motivation at you. You’re training independently and building accountability, but you’re never on your own.
I’ve never done strength training. Will I be out of my depth?
Most of our members hadn’t done any strength training before they joined G2G. Your strength and conditioning program is written for where you are right now. Coaches show you every exercise, check your form, and progress you at a pace that makes sense for your body. You won’t be thrown in at the deep end.
I’ve had bad experiences at other gyms. How is this different?
No wait times at rush hour. No wandering around hoping a machine is free. No one ignoring you on the gym floor. At G2G, our team of coaches know your name, know your program, and know what you’re working on. The group sizes are small and the same people tend to train at the same times, so you see familiar faces every session.
What if I’m injured or have a condition?
This is where G2G is at its best. Our coaches work directly with our in-house physio team. If something flares up, the physio tells your coach, your program gets adjusted, and rehab is built into your training. No extra appointments, no extra cost. We work with everything from post-surgery recovery to chronic conditions like EDS and osteoporosis.
What happens on the consultation call?
A 30-minute chat with one of our coaches. We ask about your goals, your training history (or lack of one), and anything we need to know about your body. You ask whatever you want about how G2G works. Our members consistently say that the free strength and conditioning assessment call was the moment they decided to join. It’s always personal, informative, and there’s no pressure to sign up. We’re here to help, not to sell.
Where are the cardio machines? What if squat racks and heavy weights aren’t my thing?
A lot of people wonder why there are only a few cardio machines at G2G Coaching. But when they walk in they realise there’s nothing to worry about. There are only a few cardio machines at G2G. There are also no mirrors, no egos, and nobody cares how much you’re lifting. Members range from their 20s to their 70s, from complete beginners to people rehabbing hip replacements.
